When Tristan was younger, she always knew that she was going to help others in some way. Tristan grew up in southeastern Ohio where she later found herself graduating from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Right after graduation, she started her career as a lawyer. Her first job after law school was as an Assistant City Attorney for the City of Lansing, Michigan. She then went to work for a law firm practicing general law before working in the Wisconsin State Public Defender's office.
In addition, she had the opportunity to work as a mediator and used it as a learning experience to better her listening skils in order to better assist her clients. By having such a diverse experience, she is prepared for any hurdle that may be in her way.
After a while, she found herself leaning towards the unique challenges that family law has. Tristan relishes the opportunity to assist her clients in overcoming whatever problem that they might be facing.
Tristan is a hard-working and determined to ensure that her clients feel like they have the right person fighting for their side. She never wants them to feel like they are alone while going through anything family law related because while going through a divorce, no one knew that it was going to end up the way it did.
Tristan likes to make sure everyone is on the same page while going through the divorce process. She likes to break down the legal process and turn it into manageable sizes for the client to understand and not feel overwhelmed. By doing so, this allows the client to have confidence in what they are doing and allow them to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
By working in family law, this gives her the chance to support her clients in a caring and compassionate manner. With family law, no two cases are the same. This is because of all the variables involved and the uniqueness of each individual person. This is why Tristan is flexible and able to use her extensive knowledge to adapt her style to make sure her client's needs are met.
For leisure time, Tristan likes to go golfing during the summer, work on obtaining her pilot’s license, or watch a newly released movie. As a resident of Madison, she loves to experience the city's never ending scene of restaurants. When the weather is nice, she likes to walk to the city market on the square or listen to a concert downtown.
